FRESH: WZRD

It's finally here, officially released today, the joint album from Kid Cudi and Dot Da Genius 'WZRD'. Highly anticipated, Kid Cudi has been said to 'sucessfully cross genre boundaries' and i feel he definitely has on this one, with a perfect combination of classic kid cudi beats and riffs reminiscent of The Pixies this really is a unique album and i think Cudi is still definitely one of the few artists that could actually pull off a rock x hip hop album of this quality. With 'Teleport 2 Me', especially liking on this one, the sample from Desire's 'Under Your Spell' and 'The Dream Time Machine' being two of my personal favourites off the album.

I think following the release of his mixtape 'Driving 88' this year, there is no doubt that this artist is gonna blow up soon and seriously make it big, he definitely has the potential. 'The Otherside' & 'Driving 88' are two of the best mixtapes i've heard for a while, having them on repeat all the time lately. Well worth checking out.
